Guasave is in the Mexico state of Sinaloa. Guasave is located between Los Mochis, a city at the northern part of Sinaloa, and Guamuchil, a city further south.

Guasave sits along a major transportation highway that runs south from the Mexico-USA border and through Culiacan, the capital of Sinaloa.
